To help fund the necessary works, MHPS is asking members, friends and the local community to donate to its fundraising appeal. MHPS will ‘match fund’ an equal amount to that raised.

£12,000 is needed for the project*
We are asking for 120 donations of £50

* The work involves cutting back branches to allow light to reach water level and reduce leaf fall into the water. Removal of branches and seedlings that have rooted in the pond bed will restore the body of water to its former area. The wood removed will be chipped and incorporated into a newly constructed ‘filter bed’ to intercept run-off from the road. A protected area will be created to benefit spawning amphibia. The work is scheduled for this autumn/winter 2025/6.
