AGM POSTPONED:
THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 LEADING TO THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS HAS CAUSED US TO RECONSIDER HOLDING OUR SPRING MEETING. THIS IS NOW CANCELLED AND THE AGM WILL BE HELD AS PART OF OUR WINTER MEETING ON 26th NOVEMBER 2020. 


Spring Meeting & AGM IS CANCELLED: 
 WAS be held at Trinity Church in The Broadway on Thursday 26th March 2020 at 7.00 pm for 7.30 pm start BUT IS NOW CANCELLED. The meeting WAS TO include Formal Business, a short talk on clean air issues by Jenny Bates, a member of Friends of the Earth, then refreshments, followed by a Question & Answer session with our local politicians. The meeting WAS TO finish about 10.00pm.
Annual Reports have been issued and will be considered at our Winter Meeting.

MHPS Spring Footpath Walk IS CANCELLED: was to be held on Sunday 3rd May 2020 - NOW CANCELLED due to the Coronavirus outbreak:
[Meet at 2.30 pm at Reddings Green, Lawrence Street, for a circular walk from Mill Hill via Totteridge Common (Route 4 on our Footpath Map)]

RSPB Bird Walk IS CANCELLED: was to be held on Saturday 16th May 2020 -  NOW CANCELLED due to the Coronavirus outbreak:
[ Meet at St Paul's church 2.00 pm  to join the local RSPB team for a (slow-paced) bird watching (and listening) walk to Totteridge and back.]

MHPS Gardeners Question Time IS CANCELLED: was to be held on Sunday 7th June 2020: NOW CANCELLED due to the Coronavirus outbreak:
We hope to reschedule this event sometime - probably next year the way things are going.
[ Meet up for a prompt start at 2.30 pm - Come to the Mill Hill Bowls Club in Mill Hill Park for a garden event, including a talk on the development of the beautiful Highwood Ash by owner, Penny Gluckstein,a panel providing answers to some of your gardening questions and a delicious cream tea.]

MHPS Autumn Footpath Walk: CANCELLED DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS: Sunday 4th October 2020 - Meet up at the Three Hammers, The Ridgeway, for an 11.30 am start: for a circular walk through Totteridge Valley (Route 1 on our Footpath Map). Stout footwear is advised.

Quiz Night: CANCELLED DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS: Saturday 14th November 2020 gathering at 7.00 pm for a prompt start at 7.30 pm. The venue will be St Paul's Church Hall, The Ridgeway: Get together a table of eight or we can match-up smaller groups and individuals.  The quiz will include supper (+dessert), plus Bar, and Raffle. Tickets will be available from The Studio by email contact@mhps.org.uk  or telephone 020 8906 0769 and leave a message. Book early to avoid disappointment. Price details to follow: Funds raised go towards running the Society.

Winter Meeting: CANCELLED DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS:This will be held on the evening of Thursday 26th November 2020: Details of the speaker and the venue will be included ina later newsletter and posted on our website closer to the time. However, put the date in your diary now so you don't miss it. THIS MEETING WILL INCLUDE OUR AGM.

Christmas: MHPS Christmas items will be on sale for the festive season. 
These will be available at our functions nearer Christmas or available from The Studio by email to mail@mhps.org.uk or telephone 020 8906 0769 and leave a message. Christmas Cards on sale at £6 for 10 - local scene by local artist. Our Footpath Map is available from the Studio - with walks described, important local buildings, the countryside code, and a brief history of the Society. Not exactly an A-Z Street Map - but a bargain at £4.00.
