Mill Hill Preservation Society
...making change worthwhile

WELCOME

Welcome, this site will help you get to know Mill Hill, the Mill Hill Preservation Society and what we do to help keep it a great place to live. We are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Our zone of activity is the postal district of NW7, although we keep an eye on the adjoining districts. In this area we aim to preserve the best, improve the rest and protect the green belt.

We aim to:UPHOLD THE PRINCIPLE OF THE GREEN BELT AND TO PROTECT THE NATURAL, HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES OF BEAUTY AND INTEREST IN MILL HILL

We try to make change worthwhile and to encourage all those involved in the process to hold a similar view. The surviving charm of Mill Hill in modern times is in part due to the activities of the Mill Hill Preservation Society working in the locality since 1949 – and we continue to do so.

Each end of the ‘village’ is marked by a sign - near the Rising Sun public house and the Angel Pond. The signs were designed by Martin Shaw-Briggs (RIBA 1905) who lived in Mill Hill 1939.

Members of the Society can get advice and help by contacting members of the Committee through the Studio. Go to contact us ….
